Newtonlink Options - Export/Import/Sync Newton Cards

Newtonlink is able to import Newton cards to a desktop system, export card informations from a desktop to Newton cards and to synchronize Newton cards with card informations on your desktop system.

Import

While importing Newton cards Newtonlink gets all card informations via Sloup and writes them into an intermediate file ~/.newtonlink/newtonlink.cards. This file is written in the common Addressbook file format. After that, other filter routines convert this intermediate file into a file format for the supported desktop cards programs. You can edit the name and path of these desktop card files in the Newtonlink config file.

Export

Exporting desktop cards to Newton cards is currently only supported in the Addressbook option. Newtonlink reads the file ~/.newtonlink/newtonlink.cards.send, which has to be in Addressbook format, and sends them to the Newton cards via Sloup.
